With so many people trying out their inner fashion blogger on social media, it is easy to miss true talent and individual style among the crowds of Kim Kardashian and her wannabes. This self-proclaimed style aficionado embodies the luxury of fashion. Steph Mendoza seamlessly merges New York City street wear and Parisian tailored sophistication, turning out unconventional style creations. His signature piece is a bowler hat so tall it makes Pharrell’s Vivienne Westwood fedoras look wearable. Mendoza dresses up his mannequin figure in varying ways, sometimes wearing flared-leg floor length pants, and other times showing off his model-like legs in shirt dresses and cut-off shorts. It is safe to say if you like fur coats, Chanel bags, knee-high boots, and Sundays at Barneys, this Instagram fashionista is sure to inspire your next show-stopping look.

  • Jessica Virgin
  • Blog: msvintagevirgin.blogspot.com, IG: @realvintagevirgin, Twitter, Vine, Lookbook.Nu: @msvintagevirgin, Tumblr, Bloglovin, Pinterest: vintagevirgin

Jessica Virgin is a mother, fashion blogger, and vintage junkie who combines modern trends with a vintage flair. With her love of period clothing and knack for DIY closet-items, Virgin separates herself from the crowd of other fashion bloggers with little effort. A true fashion girl, Virgin often layers different bright-colored pieces and stacks different metals to produce one-of-a-kind inspirations that are hard to copy. Even more inspiring, she finds most of her items for reasonable prices at thrift stores.

  • Nathalia Medina
  • Blog: thekeyitem.com, IG and Twitter: @thekeyitem, YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook: The Key Item

If you ever find yourself in the Dominican Republic, Medina offers workshops that touch on everything from how to take pictures for social media to branding and marketing your own blog.

  • Jordan Stawecki
  • IG: @stawecki

Fashion becomes a true art form for this ’90s club-kid transplant. Jordan Stawecki’s bold, drag-alien ensembles should come with a photosensitive seizure warning from Instagram. Every provocative look seems themed—LSD mermaid, 80’s hooker, latex dominatrix, pop-art painting. There is no such thing as “too much” for Stawecki, who incorporates different patterns and textures into every outfit. Even if you do not have the confidence and bravery it takes to wear jock straps, nipple cut-outs, fishnet stockings, or glitter on your face, Stawecki’s Instagram is worth following for its artistic appeal. His over-the-top style is best described as…over the top.
