High Fashion, College Wallet Rebecca Minkoff F/W 2015

Rebecca Minkoff, the innovative designer hailing from New York, was That 70’s show at this year’s NYFW. This collection, while taking a 70’s vibe, is very versatile. The clothes are meant to speak to everyday women, especially those who are planning on making a mark on the world. Boots, bags, and hats totaling over $500 are not so everyday prices. However, this runway look incorporates pieces a college student can easily pick up or may already have in their closet.

This look sported a wide brimmed hat, which has been in trend since last season. Forever21 has cheap alternatives. The matching fabric and color for the top, skirt, and cardigan can easily be mimicked with a sweater dress and a cardigan thrown over. Madewell and Urban Outfitters, while on the more expensive side, have a wide array of options to choose from. The white crossbody bag can be found at stores like Forever 21 for more than 50 percent less than the original price tag. The outfit is topped with patterned tights, which can be found at Express for less than $25, and thigh fringe boots, that you can buy for $40.
