After an exhausting fall term and in the midst of a much anticipated winter break, I hope that all of you are making the most of it, and by that I mean sleeping in and finally catching up on your Netflix queues. Personally, all that I have managed to do is read Fight Club and watch the movie adaptation (I give both five stars), but who’s judging? As of today, there are still eight days left until the start of spring term and plenty of time do as one pleases before it’s back to the books for most of us.
However, before that fated day comes, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Gianna, the new editor of Violet Vision for the spring term. With the help of the many talented and passionate writers who contribute to Violet Vision, my main goal for this blog is to keep expanding content and to provide an even larger platform for student voices and style perspectives here at a NYU and beyond. Expect the current weekly posts, including runway looks reinvented for the college budget, beauty tutorials, and NYU style spotlights, to continue, and watch out for several surprises to be announced in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, if you happen to find yourself in the NYC area, Eve Salon is providing the NYU community with a free beauty service. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village and within walking distance of main campus, Eve Salon (55 W 8th St, New York, NY 10011) is offering free honey bikini waxes to all NYU clients with valid identification from now until June. Those interested can contact the salon at (212) 807-8054 or visit http://www.evesalonnyc.com for further information. After all, who doesn’t love a free wax?
For the rest of you, enjoy the last week of winter break and check back for new content starting January 27!
